You and opponent are sitting on the ground. Opponent has gotten your back, and their legs are wrapped around your waist with their hooks in. As soon as they get their hooks in you lean forward, and roll sideways to the ground in either direction (You must roll down on the opponents leg/knee to trap them to the ground). As soon as you are going down, you twist to grab opponents opposite leg. The opponent is trying to mount you, so grabbing the leg ASAP is essential. At this point, shrimp over opponents leg on the ground (Still holding the opposite leg!). Continue shrimping until you are perpendicular to opponent, thread the needle, defend, and get up into the best position*.
*Note: We practiced getting into the turtle position from the ground.
